Privacy Policy

MailWatch is a privacy-focused email monitoring and conversation assistant provided under the Screets brand and operated by Fatih Beytar, based in Türkiye (“Screets,” “MailWatch,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

For the purposes of applicable data-protection laws, Fatih Beytar is the operator of MailWatch and the controller of personal information processed to provide the service.

This Privacy Policy explains how MailWatch accesses, collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, and deletes information when you use the MailWatch application, website, and related services.

1. What MailWatch Does

MailWatch lets you create Watchlists that describe the types of email conversations you want to follow.

When you connect a Gmail account, MailWatch reviews Gmail message and thread information to determine whether conversations match your Watchlists. Matching conversations may then be displayed, summarized, organized, and kept synchronized inside MailWatch.

MailWatch is not intended to create or retain a permanent copy of your entire Gmail mailbox.

Messages that do not match a Watchlist may be processed temporarily to evaluate whether they match, but they are not intended to be retained as tracked MailWatch conversations.

2. Information We Access or Collect

2.1 MailWatch account and authentication information

When you use Sign in with Apple, we may receive or process:

• your Sign in with Apple user identifier;
• your name, if Apple provides it and you choose to share it;
• your email address or Apple private relay address, if provided;
• Apple authorization information required to authenticate your account and support authorization revocation;
• MailWatch session identifiers and session-expiration information;
• information needed to secure and restore your session.

Apple may provide certain profile information only when you first authorize MailWatch.

2.2 Connected Gmail account information

When you connect a Gmail account, MailWatch may access or process:

• your Gmail account email address;
• OAuth access and refresh tokens;
• Gmail message and thread identifiers;
• sender and recipient information;
• subject lines;
• message timestamps;
• Gmail labels and message state;
• email message content or excerpts needed to evaluate Watchlists;
• quoted-message content where needed to understand a conversation;
• Gmail synchronization history and cursor information;
• information needed to send replies or perform actions you explicitly request.

Depending on the features you use, user-directed Gmail actions may include sending replies, archiving messages, moving messages to Trash, marking messages as spam, restoring messages, or changing other supported message states.

MailWatch requests Google permissions only for features presented in the application.

2.3 Watchlists and MailWatch content

We may store information that you create, submit, or generate through MailWatch, including:

• Watchlist names and instructions;
• Watchlist settings and status;
• tracked-conversation information;
• conversation summaries and display information;
• message excerpts used to display tracked conversations;
• provider references used to synchronize conversations;
• replies or drafts you create through supported features;
• actions you ask MailWatch to perform;
• account preferences and application settings.

2.4 Technical and operational information

We may process limited technical and operational information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot MailWatch, including:

• request timestamps;
• request identifiers;
• response status codes;
• processing duration;
• safe internal error codes;
• synchronization and processing state;
• queue and job status;
• application version and basic device or platform information;
• security and abuse-prevention events.

We do not intentionally include Gmail OAuth credentials, Apple authorization credentials, raw identity tokens, full email bodies, or other sensitive message content in ordinary application logs.

2.5 Information submitted through our website

When you use our website or Contact page, we may process:

• the information you enter into a contact form;
• your selected request category;
• contact details you voluntarily provide;
• the content of your support, legal, privacy, or account-related request;
• limited technical information needed to operate and secure the website.

3. How We Collect Information

We receive information:

• directly from you when you create Watchlists, configure MailWatch, send replies, perform actions, or contact us;
• from Apple when you use Sign in with Apple;
• from Google when you connect Gmail and authorize the requested permissions;
• from your use of MailWatch, including synchronization activity and application requests;
• automatically through limited operational, security, and error records.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the information, feature, location, and applicable law, we process personal information on one or more of the following bases:

• processing necessary to create and perform our agreement with you and provide MailWatch;
• your authorization or explicit consent, where required;
• your decision to connect Gmail and enable the requested features;
• our legitimate interests in operating, securing, troubleshooting, and improving the reliability of MailWatch, provided those interests do not override your rights;
• compliance with legal obligations;
• the establishment, exercise, or protection of legal rights.

Google OAuth authorization controls MailWatch's technical access to your Gmail account. You may withdraw that access by disconnecting Gmail inside MailWatch or by revoking MailWatch through your Google Account settings.

Where processing requires explicit consent under applicable law, you may withdraw that consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.

5. How We Use Information

We use information only as reasonably necessary to:

• create and authenticate your MailWatch account;
• maintain and secure your MailWatch sessions;
• connect and maintain your Gmail accounts;
• evaluate email messages and threads against your Watchlists;
• identify and display matching conversations;
• summarize and organize tracked conversations;
• keep tracked conversations synchronized with Gmail;
• send replies or perform Gmail actions that you explicitly request;
• preserve synchronization, account, and processing state;
• provide customer support;
• respond to privacy, legal, or account-related requests;
• diagnose technical problems;
• detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or security incidents;
• comply with legal obligations;
• establish or defend legal rights;
• maintain and improve the reliability of MailWatch's user-facing features.

We do not use Gmail data for:

• advertising;
• personalized or behavioral advertising;
• retargeting;
• building advertising profiles;
• credit or lending decisions;
• data-broker or information-reseller services;
• surveillance services;
• training generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

6. Google User Data

MailWatch's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular:

• Google user data is used only to provide or improve visible MailWatch features requested by the user.
• Google user data is not sold.
• Google user data is not transferred to advertising networks, data brokers, or information resellers.
• Google user data is not used for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.
• Google user data is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
• Google user data is not used to create, train, fine-tune, or improve a generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model.
• Google user data is not used for purposes unrelated to MailWatch's visible user-facing functionality.

We do not permit humans to read Google user data except where:

• you provide affirmative consent for specific support or troubleshooting;
• access is necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, or a security incident;
• access is required to comply with applicable law or valid legal process;
• information has been aggregated and de-identified for permitted internal operations.

MailWatch does not intentionally maintain a permanent copy of your entire Gmail mailbox.

Messages that do not match a Watchlist may be processed temporarily to determine whether they match. They are not intended to be stored as MailWatch conversations.

For matching conversations, MailWatch may retain limited metadata, provider references, summaries, message excerpts, and other information necessary to display and synchronize the tracked conversation.

7. Artificial Intelligence Processing

MailWatch uses artificial intelligence to provide user-facing features such as:

• determining whether an email matches a Watchlist;
• summarizing a tracked conversation;
• extracting relevant conversation context;
• organizing information displayed in MailWatch.

To provide these features, relevant Gmail message content may be transmitted to Cloudflare Workers AI, which processes the content as a service provider to MailWatch.

MailWatch sends only information reasonably needed for the requested analysis. This processing is used to provide MailWatch features and not for advertising, behavioral profiling, or unrelated purposes.

MailWatch does not use Google user data or email content to create, train, fine-tune, or improve generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

Cloudflare's current Workers AI data-use terms state that Workers AI customer content is not used to train AI models or improve Cloudflare or third-party services without explicit consent.

AI-generated matches, classifications, summaries, and extracted information may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. You should review important information in the original email before relying on it or taking action.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or Gmail data.

We may disclose or permit the processing of information only as necessary to provide MailWatch, including through the following service providers.

Apple

Apple provides Sign in with Apple, application distribution, platform functionality, and related services.

Google

Google provides Gmail authorization and Gmail API services. Actions you request through MailWatch may be reflected in your Gmail account.

Cloudflare

Cloudflare provides hosting, database, queue-processing, security, network, and artificial-intelligence infrastructure used by MailWatch.

We use these providers only as necessary to operate MailWatch and subject to their applicable agreements, privacy obligations, and security safeguards. We select and configure service providers with the goal of providing protection consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable platform requirements.

We may also disclose information:

• when required by applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or valid legal process;
• when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, or security threats;
• to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users, MailWatch, our service providers, or others;
• to establish, exercise, or defend legal rights;
• in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and any additional consent required for Google user data.

We do not transfer Google user data as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale unless the transfer complies with Google's applicable requirements and any required user consent has been obtained.

9. Data Storage and Security

MailWatch uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.

These safeguards include, where applicable:

• encrypted network connections;
• encrypted storage of sensitive authorization credentials;
• restricted access to production systems;
• hashed or protected lookup identifiers;
• limited and privacy-conscious operational logging;
• separation of user and account data;
• account-scoped authorization checks;
• authenticated access to MailWatch APIs;
• session expiration and invalidation;
• safeguards against cross-user account access;
• durable processing controls intended to prevent deleted or obsolete work from recreating data.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your Apple account, Google account, devices, and authentication credentials secure.

10. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• provide MailWatch;
• maintain account and synchronization functionality;
• fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;
• resolve disputes;
• protect security;
• prevent fraud or abuse;
• comply with legal obligations;
• establish or defend legal rights.

In general:

• MailWatch session information is retained while the session remains active or until it is invalidated;
• Gmail authorization credentials are retained while the Gmail account remains connected;
• Sign in with Apple authorization information needed for authentication or revocation is retained while the MailWatch account remains active;
• Watchlists are retained until you delete them or delete your MailWatch account;
• tracked-conversation information is retained while needed to provide the service, unless you delete it, disconnect the related Gmail account, or delete your MailWatch account;
• synchronization and processing state is retained while needed to keep the service reliable and consistent;
• support requests may be retained while needed to respond and maintain an appropriate record of the request;
• limited operational and security records may be retained for a reasonable period for troubleshooting, security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

We do not retain information longer than necessary merely because storage is available.

Where information must be retained after account deletion for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes, it will be minimized and will not permit continued use of the deleted MailWatch account.

11. Disconnecting Gmail

You may disconnect an individual Gmail account from MailWatch.

Disconnecting a Gmail account removes the connection and deletes MailWatch data owned by that Gmail account, including:

• stored Gmail authorization credentials;
• tracked conversations associated with that account;
• Watchlist memberships associated with those conversations;
• Gmail History cursors;
• initial-backfill information;
• account-specific synchronization and processing state.

Disconnecting one Gmail account does not delete:

• your MailWatch user account;
• your Watchlists;
• other connected Gmail accounts;
• conversations belonging to other Gmail accounts;
• your MailWatch session.

You may also revoke MailWatch's Google access through your Google Account permissions.

Disconnecting Gmail is different from permanently deleting your complete MailWatch account.

12. MailWatch Account Deletion

You may permanently delete your MailWatch account from the account section of MailWatch Settings.

You do not need to contact support, disconnect Gmail accounts individually, or sign out before initiating deletion.

Successful account deletion removes:

• your MailWatch user account;
• all active MailWatch sessions;
• connected Gmail account records;
• stored Gmail OAuth credentials;
• Watchlists and Watchlist settings;
• tracked conversations and their Watchlist memberships;
• drafts, preferences, and other MailWatch content associated with your account;
• Gmail History cursors;
• initial-backfill state;
• synchronization and processing state;
• pending account-owned work that has not already become obsolete.

MailWatch also revokes the Sign in with Apple authorization associated with the deleted account.

After deletion, queued or delayed processing associated with the deleted account is treated as obsolete and cannot recreate the deleted MailWatch account or its MailWatch data.

Account deletion is different from:

• signing out;
• disconnecting one Gmail account;
• deleting an individual Watchlist.

Account deletion cannot be undone.

We may retain limited records only where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, protect security, prevent fraud or abuse, resolve disputes, or establish or defend legal rights. Any retained records will be minimized and will not permit continued access to the deleted MailWatch account.

A later Sign in with Apple authorization creates a new MailWatch account. Previously deleted Watchlists, Gmail connections, conversations, and settings are not automatically restored.

13. Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• learn whether your personal information is being processed;
• request information about how your personal information is processed;
• request access to personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of incomplete or inaccurate information;
• request deletion or destruction where applicable conditions are met;
• object to or restrict certain processing;
• object to certain automated results;
• request a portable copy of information you provided, where applicable;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
• submit a complaint to an applicable data-protection authority.

Users protected by Türkiye's Personal Data Protection Law may exercise the rights available under Article 11 of Law No. 6698.

We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity, protect your account, and prevent unauthorized requests.

14. International Processing

MailWatch and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate contractual, legal, organizational, and technical safeguards for international transfers of personal information.

By connecting Gmail and using MailWatch's cloud-based features, information may be processed through infrastructure operated by Apple, Google, and Cloudflare in the locations where those providers operate their services.

15. Children's Privacy

MailWatch is not directed to children under 13 or under the minimum age required by applicable law to consent to online services.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who are not legally permitted to use the service.

16. Third-Party Services

MailWatch depends on services provided by Apple, Google, and Cloudflare.

Their independent handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

MailWatch is not responsible for third-party websites, applications, products, or services that are outside our control.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when MailWatch's features, data practices, service providers, security practices, or legal obligations change.

If a material change affects how Google user data or other personal information is used, we will provide appropriate notice and obtain consent where required before applying the new use.

The effective date at the top indicates when this Privacy Policy was last updated.
